7-Day Music Challenge: Your Top Albums - #1 The Stranger
Hi Steemians, this is my entry to the 7-Day Music Challenge: Your Top Albums. For my first day I will show you one of the most successful albums of the renowned American singer-songwriter Billy Joel.
This historical album was the fifth album made by Billy Joel published on October 8, 1977 under the record label "Columbia Records". This album was the first great success of Billy surpassing the number of 10 million copies and entering the list of the 20 best selling albums in the 1970s. He was awarded as "Record of the Year 1977" for the Grammy Awards.
It is one of my favorite albums since all the songs were produced with a very clean and aesthetic sound, combining styles such as rock and jazz. In addition the lyrics of the songs are based on stories of everyday life "Movin 'Out (Anthony's Song)" as "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" are clear examples.Beautiful ballads like "Just the Way You Are", "Vienna" and "She's Always a Woman" deepen and complete this exceptional album. But undoubtedly the most preferred for me is the song that takes the album "The Stranger" that has the best introduction made in a song.
