7-Day Music Challenge - Day 3 - AM by the ARCTIC MONKEYS

Another day -- Another Album!

Not gonna lie -- since starting this 7-day album challenge, I've been groovin' around with headphones on all day and relistening to some of my favorite tunes. Hippin' and hoppin', and a bippin' and a boppin' (sounded a little bit too much like Cosby there)...

Regardless -- My next album that is usually on my playlist is none other than...

AM - by The Arctic Monkeys

The Arctic Monkeys are a really interesting band, in that they seem to be super dynamic. From back when I first started listening to this group (2006 - Favorite Worst Nightmare) they had a bit of a grittier, more high energy kinda sound. The just kept getting better and better, and then in 2013, the album AM completely blew my mind. The tempo slowed down, the bass lines got deeper, the lyrics stayed compelling, interesting and catchy, and I listened over and over again.

Their newest album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is, again, different than previous albums. I haven't had much time to listen to it, but each time I hear a track on the radio -- I'm a bit more into it than before. This band continues to evolve, and continues to impress!
