According to the team behind Altair VR, this global VR platform was created for world discovery. Managed by the community through the use of Blockchain technology, this platform enables community members to not only create, but also distribute VR experiences. Let’s take it back a little, start from the beginning.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

It all began with a company that has introduces astronomy to over 500,000 children in remote parts of Russia. The planetarium has been a source of excitement to young astronomers in the north and southern region of Russia.
According to the whitepaper, Altair has worked with an over 50 students from different secondary schools. Also, they have worked in resorts where young lovers and elderly married couples can use the planetarium. They are currently the leader in mobile planetarium services in Russia.

Altair have already launched two products on the market. These include, Amazing Cinema for the English market and the Virtual Planetarium franchise. The former is supposed to enable users visit the planetarium without leaving their home and the latter opens access to visual education for children.

By increasing the number of BR experiences, this platform will make it possible to move in between experiences by way of tags. For example, you can simply work into the human body of you want to know about the structure of the blood.

CONTENT

One of the necessary things to create a simulation is a huge amount of content. This is why a community of like-minded people are needed create visual education for children in a new format. It’s supposed to give them the opportunity to explore the world from a different point of view.

PRODUCTION

This platform is supposed to enable teachers create a unique teaching method and lesson script. They’ll be able to turn their practices into a virtual reality through the use of this VR platform.

Distribution on the Blockchain

According to the whitepaper, this platform is expected to use https://ipfs.io/ for distribution on the Blockchain. They’ll also use other solutions like CDN for fast transfer of content around the planet. Users will be offered VR experiences on both free and paid basis.

Creators will be able to set the price of their content and payment are expected to be made in tokens. However, users will have to pay a 10 percent commissions from purchases of experience. The creators of the content will receive the remaining fund. This bring us to an important part of the platform;

THE ALT TOKEN

Most of the transaction that’ll be performed by individuals on the Altair VR platform will require the use of ALT token. This include transactions between users, developers and content writers, franchise holders and moderators.
The reason for creating this token is simple, to allow users avoid the high fee often charged by some traditional platforms. It can be as high as 40 percent of the transaction value. In contrast, the economic model of ALT token allows a balance supply and demand of tokens. This is expected to enable the platform get filled with content fast.
The contents are divided into three groups and users will need a specified amount of token to gain access to each of them. The groups include;
• Level 1- Education
• Level 2-Discovery
• Level3- Adventure
Aside from these, the ALT token was created to serve other functions outlined below;

AS AN ACCESS KEY TO APPS

As said earlier, the ALT token allows access to the Altair VR platform. Users will be able to buy the tokens;
• During the ITO
• When registering on the platform
• Through a digital currency exchange
Please note that no one will be able to use the platform without the tokens.

AS A MEANS OF PAYMENT

The platform is expected to offer both paid and free experiences. A certain amount of token, which would be set by the creator will be required to access the paid experiences. Other functions of the ALT tokens include;

DISTRIBUTION OF THE TOKEN

According to the whitepaper, the token will be distributed thus;
• 50 percent of the token will be used for the ITO
• 32 Percent will be used for the Platform Fund
• !3 Percent of the token goes to the investment team
• 3 percent of the token will be used for Bounty services
What will the proceeds from the ITO be used for, you ask?

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS

The funds raised from the ITO will be distributed thus;
• 39 percent of the fund will be used for research and development.
• 40 percent of the fund will be used for marketing
• 10 percent of the fund goes to the team behind the platforms
• 5 percent of the fund will be used for administrative
• 5 percent of the fund will be used to handle legal matters
