In the region of Hermosillo, the capital state of Sonora, the Sonora Museum of art is an engaging and interactive place that strives to promote and spread art and culture among the locals and the foreign visitors. In this respect, the main purpose of the art museum is to foster meaningful and appreciative experiences that would enable them to understand the relationship humans have with their society. Through an artistic representative, the museum strives to bind the individuals with the expectations and boundaries that the society creates so that every behavior and approach can be considered stable and with a sense of meaning.
Thus, with the focus on human rehabilitation and the fostering of possibilities of improvement in all spheres of life, the Museum of the art of Sonora, ardently promotes programs, events and interactive activities whose sole aim is to practice art and culture of the region. Majority f these activities are centered on visuals that include films, documentaries, movies and audio-visual meetings and conferences in the form of lectures and workshops. By choosing the genre of interactive visuals and live concerts, the museum aims to foster artistic exchange among audiences of diverse backgrounds and origins and cultural institution so that everyone can benefit greatly and actively take part in the cultural progression and development of the society.
As far as the physical scope or extension of the building is taken into account, the building covers an expansive area of five thousand square feet. Within such an expansive area, the building is segmented further into four floors where the exhibits and interactive activities are distributed. Alongside, within such an expansive area, there are wide and broad areas that foster walking and strolling and several interior gardens where the people can speculate the beautiful union of nature and man. Also, within the buildings, there are workshops, offices, warehouses and a lot of significant areas related to the museum’s operation and functioning of cultural events.
In this museum, there are four full-fledged operating art galleries that primarily focus on exhibiting the works of world-class Mexican artists. Moreover, the building itself is the finest example of exceptional architecture, and the staff is very welcoming, hospitable and accommodating.
