Situated in the heart of Hermosillo, this park is one of the most accessible points in the city. Initially, the park was inaugurated in 1900 with the name of La Alameda. However over the time, when the instrumental figure in the politics of the capital city of Sonora, Hermosillo, Francisco Madero became prominent especially due to this effort that leads to a stark revolution in the city in 1910, the park was given a new identity as Park Madero. Therefore, the park itself contains a lot of historical significance as the visit to this place will take the visitors back in the time of Francisco Madero when he asserts his dictatorship over the democratic, presidential role of Porfirio Diaz.
As the visitors place their step inside the park, they will realize that the park is full of greenery. In this respect from the entrance, the visitors will feel a sense of warmth and invite especially for jogging and walking. The park authorities are very particular about the cleanliness of the surroundings and expect the visitors to dispose of their trash in the dustbins that are situated at different accessible places within the park.
