Cushioned between the Coronado and Imperial Beach, you will find the exotic presence of Silver Strand State beach. The beach offers visitors a lot of opportunities regarding fun-filled water activities such as swimming, kayaking, boating, surfing, and water skiing. Apart from having the time of their lives in the beautiful calm waters, the visitors can also relax in the soothing sands of the beach and sun-bath till to their heart's content. For families or group of friends, the beach offers wonderful opportunities and sites where they can camp, sleep out and have an enjoyable day picnicking.

The anglers or the fishermen who fish out of fun can find ample spots within the sea where they can fish. They can either fish upstream or in the back line. The beach authorities are also very strict about the observance of fly fishing etiquettes from the side of the anglers as they do not want any act of barbarism when the sea gets overcrowded with them.

The beach is normally accessible for day long camping. Those groups who want to do overnight camping need to make reservations in advance. However over-night camping is only allowed to self-contained RVs. And these individuals are not allowed to bring a tent or camp in the car.

All forms of drinking are strictly off-bounds within the area covered by the beach and on the beach itself. Therefore the guests are not allowed to bring alcohol or glass with them.
