What makes the beach beautiful is the presences of crystal clear blue tranquil waters, whitewash surf and clean sand along with occasional boulders and tide pool. The sight is amazing in itself. The waves mildly thrashings the shoreline and their melodies sound is music to ears and soothing for the soul. The glimpse of sunset at the beach is breathtaking, and the sea is calmer and relaxing when the sun slowly and gradually sets down.

The reason why the white sand on the beach glitter and sparkle is because there is an abundance of mineral mica. As a result for this exceptional beauty, the Coronado Beach has been nominated to rank among the most beautiful beaches in the United States by Dr. Beach, The Travelers Channel and other media sources.

The beach is set against the milieu of the iconic and sparkling Hotel Del Coronado. Those who have seen Marilyn Monroe blockbuster movie, “Some Like it Hot,” will immediately recognize that the beach featured in it is Coronado Beach. This beach is a great romantic retreat for lovers and those who include this majestic spot for their honeymoon. The thought of walking arm in arm on the clear white sands in the moonlight is perfectly loving and dreamy. Furthermore, this spot is perfect for families as it offers a lot of fun-filled water activities.

The drive to the beach is itself amazing and breathtaking. As you drive through the 200 foot tall Coronado Bridge you get the perk of sightseeing one of the spectacular views of San Diego. As you descend down the beach, the sight of the charming and delightful community of Coronado waterfront is just like an icing on the cake.
