Don’t miss out the Mexican idol museum

One of the most visited attractions, while you are traveling, is the museums, because we want to check them out, learn something, see something. Basically, we want to see the art, the history and appreciate things that are kept for so many years, centuries… museums are there to represent things that don’t have a price,
something that will never expire or die. It is here, it will be here and don’t miss it out. That is why museums are for. There are all kinds of museums,
of course, it all depends on what your interests are. But if you are planning a trip, a vacation to Mexico and you are going northeast, visiting a very interesting city called Matamoros.
Well then, there is a museum that you have to check out. It is something different, but I think you will more than enjoy your visit to the museum.
So, it is the Museo de Rigo Tovar, A museum that represent the life of a musician. A musical museum! Yes, it is a fun museum!
Rigoberto Tovar García, also known as Rigo Tovar was a Mexican musician/singer. He was very influential, especially traditional Mexican and Latin music with modern instruments,
such as electric guitar and synthesizer, a combination of popular style, something like rock and soul music. Besides all this, he was famous for his cumbias.
He was the idol of Mexican popular music. He also had a unique way of expressing through dressing/clothes.

In the museum, you can see the figure of the singer, in the real size. Also, a documentary about his life is projected in the museum.
You can check out the collection of photographs of his concerts. Hear his music, see the music videos… So, basically, we learn all about the career of the idol of Mexican music.

Open hours are from 09:00 am to 08:00 pm on weekdays – Tuesday to Friday, and on weekends from 12:00 am to 08:00 pm.
