Within the area of 45 acres, the Woodward Park at Tulsa is a public park that has a natural and exclusive collection of woody trees, botanical garden and vast grasslands that provide of peaceful speculation and reflection to the locals and tourists. This public park is situated between the eastern end of South Peoria Boulevard and the western end of South Rockford Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The public park is named after the original owner of the park, Helen Woodward and it came into existence in 1929 after a long period of court trails on ownership.

The locals and the tourist on their visit to the park will experience plants life from a variety of aspects. They will see that plants not only add to the beauty of the environment through their diverse and varied species and kinds but are also a great source of comfort and peace. On the top of that, plants are also the basic and fundamental aspect of our food chain. They provide us with a variety of foods that are safe and organic and are necessary for the sustenance of our hale and hearty lifestyle. In this respect, the visitors in the park will see their lives from a refined and revitalized perspective as their minds are with peace with tranquil nature.

The park has specialized in the natural showcase of beautiful gardens and its flowers. The visitors will totally be mesmerized by the beautiful scents and sight of the spring flowers, cacti, tropical plants, azaleas, turnips, irises, dogwoods, roses and many more. The Rosegarden that came in to being in 1935 is a beautiful aspect of the park as it presents 9000 roses of different types. Around 250 types of these roses are planted and grown in the Rose garden.

The tourist will also be amazed to see the Anne Hathaway Garden which is named after the famous English playwright William Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway. The tourists while visiting this garden in the public park will realize Mrs. Hathaway’s love for gardening and the plantation of culinary herbs is reflected from its ambiance.

The public park was listed in the journal of national historic landmarks of United States because of its beautiful grassy landscape, natural plantations, varied species of flowers.
