The Rabobank Arena is s multiple purposes arena located in California's Bakersfield. It is located downtown at N Street and Truxtun Avenue's corner. Built back in the year 1998, the Rabobank Arena was initially named as Centennial Garden. The Rabobank Arena is home to an occasional California State University, an icy hockey team belonging to the American Hockey League, and Bakersfield Men's Roadrunners NCAA Division I basketball games. It is also home to California Interscholastic Federation High School State Wrestling Championship Tournament. It is held in March in the first weekend. This brilliant concert arena is capable of hosting half-house shows, end-stage shows, and center stage shows. For half-house shows, there is a capacity of accommodating six thousand and four hundred visitors. For end-stage as well as center-stage shows there is a capacity of accommodating up to ten thousand two hundred and twenty-five visitors.
The arena floor is conveniently spread in an expanse of seventeen hundred square feet of the entire available space. There is a southern concourse of the arena that majorly serves as the home to exhibit of Hall of Fame of the Bob Elias Kern Country Sports. This Hall of Fame honors the various people and athletes from the Kern Country and Bakersfield including local coaches, various significant contributors to the field of athletics, and prominent athletes. On the western concourse, a separate display honors the various founders of the Kern Country and Bakersfield along with the renowned music legend named Buck Owens, and the current dignitaries and athletes from Kern Country and Bakersfield.
The Convention Center and the Rabobank Theater are attached to the Rabobank Arena. It is an exhibit hall of seventeen thousand eight hundred and forty square feet and a theater of three thousand seats. This complex was initially known as the Bakersfield Civic Auditorium that was opened back in the year 1962. Later, it was named as the Bakersfield Convention Center back in the 1980s. A city parks area named the Centennial Plaza is situated in front of the Rabobank Arena. This Plaza features a large-sized fountain that conveniently drains into the plaza's concrete, a sculpt fountain, a stage, artwork, and several bricks that commemorates the Centennials of the Bakersfield City.
