Situated at the heart of the beautiful city of Montreal, the Mount Royal is an attractive tourist attraction. It is because the Mount Royal and the surrounding conservation park is supported by a community of ecologically minded individuals by the name of Les Amis de la Montagne. This society is a non-profitable society who work with the sole purpose of conserving the area surrounding Mount Royal in an environmentally friendly way.
As many people visit this attraction to get respite from the daily monotonous life of the city and their home country, Mount Royal offers a lot of sightseeing and getting closer to nature possibilities. So as the tourists head for the mountains, they end up filing fuel in their exhaustive minds and bodies by fresh air and greenery. They can either undertake a holiday or a backpacking trip for hiking, climbing or for witnessing breathtaking panoramic views. Furthermore, in the park, they may also enjoy the winters watching the birds flying in the park.
In order to get active in the winter months that is from the first of December to the start of March, the Mount Royal management team offers a lot of recreational opportunities. For such opportunities, they have reserved a special rental counter that provides the tourist at cheap rental rates, good quality equipment for ice skating, snow tubing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Therefore, all the tourist need to do is show their photo identity cards to avail this rental equipment.

Therefore the ecological community working within the Mount Royal region believes that the can give the kids and parents anew refresh perspective of the Mount Royal by fostering them a wide array of activities such as cross-country skiing, day camps, school excursions, and activities. As a result, Mount Royal, in all aspect, is a hands-on interactive open-air classroom which helps the student to revitalize their concepts of nature, learn about environmental conservation, become creative and get a quick briefing of the area’s history and background.
