My Personal Crypto Forecast: BCH Mass Adoption In Japan Coming Soon (Next 1 - 3 Years).

A short Twitter search of the hashtags #BCH and #Japan or #Tokyo will reveal some interesting things.

One, the Bitcoin Cash community is enthusiastic as all hell about onboarding new users, merchants, and private financial enterprises. Just recently I saw a post from an account I follow on Twitter, about a movement happening here to onboard a famous chain curry restaurant called CoCo Ichiban.

Combine this with Roger Ver's recent announcement that BCH would soon be coming to "tens of thousands" of convenience stores in Japan (huge news for this society that practically lives at convenience stores), and the new "Cointext" technology service that allows BCH transactions from mobile to mobile without internet, apps, registration, or passwords, and it certainly seems like big things are in the works. Heck, the CoinText service claims to store no information, and while the blockchain/addresses are still publicly viewable, to be more secure than a normal mobile wallet, because once text messages are deleted, no trace is left linking your phone to the cryptocurrency:

Unlike smartphone wallet apps which display to the world that you have cryptocurrency on your phone, if you delete your chat history with CoinText, no one can tell that you have access to cryptocurrency by inspecting your phone.

Is CoinText Secure?

CoinText is private and secure for casual use. CoinText never holds funds. The system does not write data to disk and stores no information about phone numbers, keypairs, or transactions pushed through the system. There’s no database to attack. All transactions are settled immediately on-chain.

In order for crypto to be useful, it must be used.

And in order for it to be used without interference from a government or middleman, well, individuals will simply have to use it that way. Of course, there will be those who hate human progress and wish to interfere, steal, stifle, and compromise the movement toward free markets.

This is inevitable, and has been the story of nation states and robber barons and thieves since the dawn of history, really. This is why a "flash flood" adoption of a currency such as Bitcoin Cash could be so beneficial, in my opinion. While the masses here in Japan likely don't have much of a philosophical impetus to use the coin, convenience is a language here that everybody speaks. And I mean ridiculous technological, computerized convenience is the name of the game.

"Governments move slowly, the market moves fast. So if we can move to have the entire market adopt this as money before the regulators even know what happened, that's it. We won."

~Roger Ver

Should this convenience come to town in a flash, as I am hoping it will (I may be wrong, mind you, but goddamn I sure am hoping for it), individual holders of value would find themselves to be in quite a unique position. That is to say, the position to say "NO" to being stolen from by the state or other such parasitic middlemen via taxation, licensing fees, and other such violent regulations. Of course, there's always a catch. Even with mass adoption, folks are still going to have to have the balls to say "NO," when the time comes to say it. If we don't have that. If we don't have the idea which is where these brilliant technologies came from in the first place, we still have nothing.

All that said, though. It only takes a stubborn few with the idea. The rest can adopt out of convenience and catch on later. Could this all backfire and just result in a cashless society which is even less private than the current paper fiat paradigm we are seeing come to an end, currently? Sure. Of course. But you know what? That era is coming to an end anyway. We are sitting here on top of internet 2.0. Blockchain. A tool, idea, and tech that is not going away. Why shouldn't we use it for good, and for love, and to build new, innovative, and life serving systems? We already know the game of the thieves. Let's tell them to fuck off, and build the new world based on freedom. If we do fail, at least we failed fighting for something truly fucking noble and worthwhile.

Anyway, I guess that is how I see things right now!

LET'S GO, BCH!!!!!

Roger sure doesn't seem to sit back. The marketing and promotion they are doing at bitcoin.com is great.

You mentioned the flash flood, I think it is already too late already for government to do much besides be annoying, which they certainly can do. I think Japan is an interesting place for these things to be happening as for what I can tell in my 'merican chair, they are willing and able to handle some tech. They seem like they will give it a try and use it if it works for them.

That working part is where BCH really surprises me. Using it seems even faster than Steem most of the time. I have had the opportunity to use a fair bit lately and I'm nearly shocked at how fast it is right now. It shows up in the account nearly instantly and only takes a few minutes for a few confirmations. I'm not sure how that will work in POS, but hopefully we will find out soon!

!!!! That's ridiculous! I wanna try it already!

Yeah, man. I gotta get it set up ASAP.
