ANC anuló inmunidad parlamentaria de Borges y Requesens
La Asamblea Nacional Constituyente (ANC), en sesión especial de este miércoles 08 de agosto, anuló la inmunidad parlamentaria a los diputados del Poder Legislativo, Julio Borges y Juan Requesens, que, presuntamente, están involucrados en el intento de magnicidio contra el presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro, perpetrado el pasado sábado durante el desfile militar en conmemoración del 81 aniversario de la creación de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana.
Borges y Requesens fueron acusados por el presidente Maduro de estar detrás de los hechos ocurridos en la avenida Bolívar, donde dos drones con cargas explosivas fueron manejados para detonar en la tribuna presidencial.
El Jefe de Estado presentó la noche de este martes detalles sobre las investigaciones y señaló a ambos parlamentarios como partícipes de los hechos.
Durante la sesión, Diosdado Cabello, presidente de la ANC, se refirió al acontecimiento y aseguró que el objetivo no solo era asesinar al presidente, sino "debilitar la moral de nuestros cadetes y de nuestros militares".
indicó que el atentado debió evitarse con la actuación temprana de la justicia venezolana.
"Eso pudo evitarse si la justicia hubiera actuado cuando tenía que actuar", enfatizó en su intervención.
El presidente de la Comisión de Poder Público de la ANC, Pedro Carreño, aseguró que, tras el allanamiento de la inmunidad parlamentaria, se podrá proceder a un juicio por el cargo de "homicidio intencional en grado de frustración" a ambos dirigentes políticos.
En Sala Plena del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia (TSJ), con ponencia del magistrado Maikel Moreno, se declaró procedente el enjuiciamiento del ciudadano Juan Carlos Requesens Martínez, así como la detención de Julio Borges, tras determinarse que "existen suficientes elementos de convicción para estimar la comisión de delitos de naturaleza permanente", según detalló una nota de prensa del Poder Judicial.
