How Do I Get Milk From A Cash Cow

in #anhouraday6 years ago (edited)

Today is saturday and I have taken this day to just relay and enjoy the family. Whe have nothing special plained just laziness. The weather alert radio went off there times in the last 15 minutes, so that's exciting. It doesn't matter what you plan or not plan something always comes up.

I read a post today by @themanwithnoname. His post reveiled the type of person he is. He achieved the Minnow status (500 sp) which is an accomplishment. Not only did he hit this mark this week but also @bengy did. My congrats to both of them.

Hitting the 500 SP mark is a big Steemit achievement. It shows the commenity that you are invested in the growth of Steemit. Anyone can see the commitment that you have made over the months that it took you. Anyone who has been here for awhile has that information at their fingertips. It is a resource that they use when they think about giving out their vote.

@paulag has started an Engagement league in the effort to help redfish acheive the minnow level (500 sp) I have recomended this before and still recommend it. I wonder how many people on a monthly basis hit the minnow level. Just a thought

Steemit went up today $0.46 from its low of $1.16. I was in a position to take advantage of the low with a decent investment. How many others took advantage of the low Steem price. It does not matter whether it is $10 or $100 plus. anything is better than nothing. No one can tell you how long this will last, whether it will go up or to record lows. My approach to it has always been to purchase on a monthly basis. I have been doing it since day one and will continue doing it.

Having a goal or plan is a good thing. It is the only way to grow here on Steemit. It does not matter the length of time it will achieve a goal. It is beneficial to have benchmarks at different intervals to measure progress. There are some who will stay at their current level and happy with it. Thats OK there is nothing wrong with that. Steemit will be just a social media platform to them. No one should have a problem with that and I would support their decision.

Let me know what your Steemit goal is and how you plan on achieving it. I will use it sometime in the future. I am brainstorming some Ideas and your assistance would help.

I invested 2 days ago at 0,90 €, some hours later it was at 0,99 € :-)

That's pretty darn gone good. I hit it a little higher. but way better than the $6 I paid when first started. LOL It will all average out
Steem on buddy

Congratulations again for your achievement! That's awesome :) I would have loved to invest, but just couldn't and in fact, someone was kind enough to lend Brian money before, so we've been paying him back in sbd. Because Brian doesn't post as frequently, I've been having to send mine, which sucks, but that's life...Actually, 'real life' just became more important and instead of getting down about it all, I'm thankful that steemit has been able to let us do that.

I understand that
I got lucky. There is no sense in getting down about it.
I usually just laugh and say whats next.

My main goal when I first registered in steemit was, I admit, to make some money to be able to deal with the crisis in my country (Venezuela), but as I began writing and posting content, I found that I get a lot of satisfaction when something I write is well received, so my focus has changed to basically write for monetary reasons, to pushing myself to create better and better content for the enjoyment of my audience, and I can't wait to have a decently high sp so I can give some posts I read the reward they deserve.

thank you
I like the attitude and is one we all should acquire.

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

Thanks for the mention, @wolfhart. It's been a pleasure steeming along side you. I am still in it and planning on it being for the long-haul. I have been wanting to get more steem, but just haven't set aside the money for it. When I have extra cash, I normally spend it on silver, but I do write posts about that silver and some people seem to like those, so I guess that's my steem investment plan. :D

I like those!

I kinda like the trips to the bank for coins you go through
There is no other way besides the long haul

I think investing in Steem is important if you plan to go for the long haul. I did take advantage of the low price. Small investments, but I did put money in. I agree that small monthly investments over time is a lot better than one big lump investment one time. Keep up the good work.

To me my investment was very large for others it might be lunch money. But I do buy every month and it has paid off.

Congrats on the minnow status and I think that in time, it is going to be worth the investment.

small typo on @paulag who would be interested to read this post too :)

I think so to. I just need more time to power up more. It's been hard but the consistency is paying off with a little boost here and there. I hit the $1.16 just right.
Thanks for the spelling tip , made the correction 👍

Enjoyed your post immensely and I resonate with the precepts and conclusions you presented.

Namaste, my friend.

There is wisdom in that quote if one takes the time to understand it

Here's what I just submitted to "post your tags" on the Vet Discord Server:

Me during a free-fall stick at the USAF Academy (jumping with AM490, 491, and 496 students). I REFUSED TO WEAR THEIR INFERIOR (AND HEAVY) HELMETS! Loved my Prot-Tec helmet - so light and ventilated, yet much stronger than the USAF standard issue.

I was surprised 'cause I thought the USAF were so spoiled that they'd always have the best gear?

Me now.

Hope it's good enough 'cause I'm having a Hell of a time finding anything else!

LOL yea should be
Man you Air Force guys had it made. We only got the 123, 130, 141 mostly to jump out of. Those were the days LOL

Woops. I didn't make it clear that I was just visiting the Air Force.

Although I spent A LOT of time with other organizations, the bulk of my career was with the USN and USMC. I retired from the USN.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ohhh lord thats worse ROFL

I spent a lot of time cross training and time with the other branches. Still have close friends who are marines. At first I thought you were Navy due to being in the pacific

Ya I tried to sign up for that goal of getting to 500, I made it to 70 this week and I am still going to keep pushing my way there. Thanks for the help as always.

If you requested it in a comment you should be signed up for it.
Every little bit helps and in time will achieve the goal.

Thanks, I did go back to see if there was a page we could track who is in it. Hope that shows up in theory we could all help each other get there.

congratulations, a massive milestone. and now you are officially a minnow. You did say you were going to do this. So cool.

My next goal is to become a dolphin :-)
but I also have goals that involve moving some of my existing online brand across to the steem blockchain. I need to move carefully with this because its taken me so long to build my brand, I could lose a lot of followers if they decide they dont like it

Yea you have to be careful with a move. Some people don't like change when dealing with internet commerce. They lose their security/trust that they developed. A lot will depend on how you market the change.

Thanks I was worried and kept watching the price. everything fell into place and the 1st falling on Sunday made it possible to pull the trigger on Friday. $1.16 is better then the $1.66 its at now

Hey @wolfhart missed out on the investment and at the moment can't be certain to do so, but I'll still be posting here on steemit amd lets see in the future maybe invest in it to grow.

I got lucky with the timing. Also the funds to do so. It's not like there is a big rush or a must to do. Take your time and do it right, when you are able to do so.
I look forward to your posts and keep it up.
