Kediler memeli hayvan türleri arasında en uykucu hayvan türüdür. Ortalaam günlerinin 16 saatini uyku ile geçirirler.Kedilerin görüş açısı ise 185 derecelik bir açı ile görürler. Kedilerin görme ve işitme yetileri insanlar ve köpeklerden daha kuvvetlidir. ayrıca kediler karanlıkta insanlarda 6 kat daha iyi görürler. Bir araştırmaya göre her 3 Amerikalıdan biri kedi beslemektedir.
