Walking around the zoos - Zoo of Rivne - Ukraine - Lama - Alpaca

in #animalphotography5 years ago (edited)

Greetings, dear friends! I invite you to join my walk through the zoological park of the city of Rivne, Ukraine. This vast territory of the animal kingdom will decorate your day.

I want to share with you my impressions of meeting this wonderful zoo and its inhabitants. There are a lot of impressions. Every year we try to get into this zoo.

People often have sympathy and vice versa, dislikes for some species of animals. Perhaps, after this journey, you will change your opinion about certain types of creatures from the animal kingdom.

I will not give bare encyclopedic data. All this you can read on the Internet. Those feelings that I experienced when meeting with animals, associations, that's what makes me go further. This is something that cannot be read, this is something that needs to be experienced, felt by each cell of the spinal cord.

If you were absent at the beginning of the journey, join in!

Our journey began eight days ago, today, the ninth day. On the links that I gave below, you can get acquainted with such inhabitants of the zoo as pelicans, meerkats and the black-and-white rough lemur, African tortoise, horses and ponies, porcupines, nasua, tapir and capybara.

After exploring the capybaras, we went to visit other guests from South America, these are lovers of mountain slopes, fluffy Lamas - Alpacas.

There was a replenishment in their family, it was interesting for us to see the newborn Lama. He looked very funny. He looked at everyone with great curiosity.

Alpac contained in a very large aviary, they have a lot of freedom of movement. A lot of trees give them shade on hot days. You can see the alley along which we walked to the Alpacas aviary.

This plate says that these llamas came from the area, which is located 150 kilometers from Lake Titicaca. That, from one Lama can collect more than a kilogram of wool. Fur and wool are the main reason for keeping them on farms.

I find it funny, I remembered how we bought a coat of llama wool for my wife. The seller assured that this coat is winter and it will be very warm. With the same success it was possible to buy a coat of fish scales. The scales of fish are probably warmer, they have a reflective efferent. For me, Lama, this is a pretty creature that you need to look at and admire.

Watching the llamas, it seemed to me that they know very well how beautiful they are and are proud of it. They have a very haughty look.

The trimmed llama looks like a wild hare, it is funny. She will be able to play the role of a hare in the theatrical scene, if the hare is accidentally eaten.

Look at this view. This is what I talked about. Pride and contempt for those around her. They say that alpacas spit like camels. I have not seen this, but I did not want to check it out.

Like many other animals, alpacas are beggars. When they saw visitors approaching the zoo, they rose from the ground and ran to the fence, hoping to get something tasty.

Once they got what they wanted, they lost interest in people and they went into the shadows.

They like to spend time lying on the ground. I wonder what they think at this time? Most of them were born in a zoo and they do not know other lands and landscapes. They know the smells and taste of only what they bring in food. They see everything through the bars of the barrier. What is there to think about?

I took pictures last year and in the 2015th year. Trees have grown up, new animals have appeared, those animals that I have seen before are healthy and alive. Only positive emotions from visiting the zoo.

We saw the Alpaca, we are going to move on, many more interesting things await us. To be continued.

The zoo is located at the exit from the city of Rivne towards Kiev. The street is called Kiev.

Tickets at affordable prices, a children's ticket costs a little more than one US dollar, for adults, tickets cost about two dollars.
