Animalphotography - First Preview of my pictures at Lake Neusiedler and Lower Austria

This weekend i visited lake Neusiedler and lower austria for some wildlife photography together with Stefan. It was a pretty nice weekend and we where able to get some pretty nice shots. The bee eaters are back from their winter habitat and it was a very nice thing watching them and taking pictures. They are such beautiful birds with very nice colors. I had a bit a problem with the harsh light of the sun, morning or evening would have been a bit better but still i was able to get some nice shots.

After we visited the bee eaters, Stefan showed me a nice Place where you can take pictures of nutria in Lower Austria. For me this was the first time i saw this kind of animals, but Stefan had already took several pictures of them last year. We had to wait for several minutes at the spot to see one, but then suddenly they came out of their hides and swum around in the creek.

What i find a bit unsatisfactory is that i can't find such beautiful animals near my home place in Upper Austria and i nearly need to drive always for several kilometers just to take some pictures of some interesting animals. At my homeplace i only can take some pictures of birds, deer, rabbits but most of the intersting birds and other animals can only be found in lower austria and more to the east.

At the beginning of our "Vienna" tour we visited the hamsters at the cementary.

I have never seen a wild hamster before lol. You always see them in the pet shops but never in the wild. I could watch them for hours and you managed to capture some great photographs. Thanks for sharing this.

hi @florian-glechner
meanwhile, as an ignorant traveler as I am, I went to see some pictures of Lake Neusiedler to get an idea of where you went, and so I discovered another place to put on the list of places to visit! It's beautiful! Your photos on animals are very beautiful and you are fratunato to have a friend who knows the places where you can find them !! Meeting new animals is always amazing, because on nature it never stops learning! But are you a professional photographer or is photography your passion?
congratulations and thanks for sharing with us

Photography is just a passion i have now for several years. Naturephotography is the most exciting topic in Photography for me and IT gives me so much streangh and helps me relax from my job.

I'm perfectly agree with you!! maybe we are soul mates ...

Hey florian-glechner, tolle Fotoserie.

That hamster is just adorable. I had a couple of them at home when I was a child. They are cute but poop all the time! :D Cleaning after them is no fun..

I know that we have nutrias back home but I've never seen one myself. It must be a beautiful experience..

Your photos are very nice and I also like the ones with bird. Yeah, the light might be a bit harsh but at least you had sun :) It's been raining here for the past two weeks..

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely week!

Those are good shots you got @florian-glechner, all are wonderful. It is quite fascinating taking a tour of the place and be fascinated by the creatures you found in there. It is a good thing that you give particular attention to them and I think it is amazing. By sharing these to social media, you are inspiring others to give them the value that they deserve. With these, people will have more consideration in preserving their habitat for their conservation.

Good job and well done.

Lovely animals, species we don't see, thanks so much for sharing.

You mention having to travel to see wildlife, go quietly into local parks I am sure you will find a hidden treasure right on your doorstep, nature is everywhere.

Congratulations on being selected by @curie for excellent content, lovely photography and detail.

Thank you, yes i find a lot of birds and animals like rabbits and deer here nearby. But they are not as exciting for me.

Great pictures. This park does not have anything to envy from any in the tropics. Such a beautiful array of species.
I loved the bee eaters. That yellow section in their heads is so yellow! Nature does its best when it comes to distributing or combining colors in plumage.
That nutria looks like is well-fed. they usually look slim. :)
The little hamster looks great in the last picture. It's like he run into his favorite food or mate :)

Those birds had so vibrant colours on their feathers. Nature is so amazing. And as someone already write - hamster is so cute, you really catch the perfect moments on your shoots.
Well done.
