bees are important for us... no matter which ones - that make honey or not, but as long as they pollinate the flowers, we are safe :)
We definitely could not live a happy life without a little help from our friends @reinikaerrant
One can only wonder what climate change and indiscrimate use of pesticides and insecticides will do to pollinators. We use none of those in our yard and plant butterfly bushes. As a result, our yard is filled with caterpillars and butterflies. The only thing we worry about are asps and wasps, but those seem to be rare.

We stopped using anything off the self in the garden about 25 years ago @toddrjohnson and noted a massive difference in the garden.
A wonderful elderly gentlemen I worked with gave me recipes of natural remedies to use around the house, it was a blessing in disguise, inexpensive and easy to apply to a variety of diseases/bugs problems areas in the garden. He also taught me about some local plants that could be used medicinally.
