THE EASTERN KINGBIRD
The Kingbird is a medium-sized songbird the can often be found perched in the open atop trees or along utility lines or fences. The Eastern Kingbird is 'tyrant flycatcher' native to North America. Tyrant flycatchers are a family of passerine birds throughout North and South America. They are considered the largest family of birds, with more than 400 species. For a cute little bird, they can be fierce. These birds can aggressively defend their territory, even against much larger birds.
