Do You Understand A Mother’s Pain? Some Reflections on Mother's Day.

in #animalrights6 years ago (edited)

Julie was very happy as she was about to deliver her baby after a nine month long pregnancy. In this long nine-month period, though she was carrying her baby in her own womb, she never got a chance to see her face. Julie was eager to meet her own baby, see her face and nurse her into a beautiful adult being.

Julie underwent an excruciating labour pain to bring her baby in this world. But she was immensely happy for her baby when she gave birth to a new life. She had given birth to a gorgeous son who was so good looking that she didn’t want to take her eyes off him. He was aptly named Prince.

Prince was too young to know anything. He only recognized his mother and she meant a world to him. Julie enjoyed nursing & suckling her Prince; and Prince enjoyed the warmth and care of his mother.

But a few days later, a very horrific thing happened. Some people came and forcibly snatched Prince from Julie. Julie resisted and fought with all her might but she was helpless and had to gave in to that merciless gang, who took away her Prince from her. She cried her heart out for several days and weeks but no one came to help her.

Prince too was shocked when these hooligans made him captive in a vehicle and transported him to a distant place. Reaching there, Prince saw that there were many babies who were brought there by kidnapping them from their mothers. Everyone was in immense pain. Prince too was crying hard. He couldn’t understood what all had happened to him. He was already missing his mamma and her milk now and couldn’t stop crying.

But here, he was standing in a long queue of kidnapped babies. He met one called Bob who was standing just in front of him in the queue. Bob was few months older than Prince. So he consoled Prince by assuring him that everything will be fine at last.

Prince questioned Bob, if he knows what’s going to happen here. Bob told him that he knows it all. He was with his mother for 5-6 months and she told him everything. Bob shared this with Prince too, so he may not get too much shocked, when he confronts the dire truth.
Bob said, “Look Prince, we are not human beings. These humans won’t let us survive because we’re non-human beings.”

Prince couldn’t understand what Bob had to say. So he asked again, “What do you mean by non-human beings?”

Bob explained, “See, we are born with 4 legs and a tail, whereas they walk on only 2 legs. So they categorized us as calves and call themselves as humans. Although we’re all earthlings, we’re different anatomically.”

“So, humans think” Bob continued, “our lives doesn’t matter to anyone and we have no right to survive on our own. I’ll become veal in their dinner plate. They will slaughter me, cut me into small pieces and then cook me on hot flame. Then they will eat my flesh to fill their stomachs. I was granted a life of 6 months to grow fat, to fulfill their desire.

“But you are too young for it. So they are going to skin you alive and then leave you to die. Your soft skin is used by them for their clothing and footwear and is sold as ‘leather”. But don’t worry, we are going to die soon and my mother told me that death ends all our sufferings.”

“But what will happen to my mamma. She will miss me if I die”, cried Prince.

Bob tried to console him, “Your mamma knew it. She knows how all her sons are snatched away from her every year, just days after their birth. But she will be kept alive as long as she can get pregnant, give birth and produce milk for humans.”

“But she loves me a lot”, exclaimed Prince.
“Yes, my mom loves me a lot too and I’ll always miss her”, confessed Bob.

*******

On this Mother’s Day, my tribute to all selfless mothers, who extend care to their offspring even at the cost of their own life!

Would you like to abstain from contributing to the sufferings of non-human mothers? It’s really easy to do than you think. Go vegan!

Heart touching, hat's off to Ashu bhai

It was a heart touching story bro. We humans are so cruel that we don't consider animals as living creatures. We kill them for meat or even just for fun. Their helpless mothers can do nothing when their baby's are snatched from them and killed. I thing we should consume as less meat as we can so that the rights of the animals may be saved.

Sadly, many of us understand the consequences of our actions but we're still reluctant to change our old, deeply ingrained habits.

And it's not just about meat but it also includes our consumption of dairy, poultry, leather and every other product that doesn't directly grow from soil.

On this Mother's Day, let's take one step towards saving the mother-child bond from this unbearable agony, in case we really care.

Thanks for your attention!

Sorry, but I will continue to eat meat. BBQ at my place, everybody!

If you feel sorry while continuing to consume meat, then you're not in alignment with your heart, soul and deeds

May peace and light be unto you!

What I meant was that I was sorry to disagree with the author of this blog. I love eating meat.

Well, there are people in this world who love raping and murdering innocents too. There are habitual pick-pocketers and even serial killers.

Some call them perverted! I too don't appreciate their actions.

There are 2 kinds of mother. The good mother and bad mother. Both are mother but not both experience or feel the same. The only common is they can bare child. Let's take care of good mothers but the bad mothers, then it's up to you :)

A mother is always a mother. Good or bad is your perspective and not her fault. Tell me on what basis did you arrive to this conclusion, "both mothers do not feel the same"?

Nice story and good work. Happy Mothers Day to every mother who reads this :)

Thank you for liking it!

Mothers are closest reflection to God. May she stay blessed and keep showering us with her blessings.

Well said! Fortunate are those souls, who are blessed to live with their mothers.

Good day @xyzashu!

Mothers are so great for humanity. They should not only remember one day.

Unfortunately, not everyone has this realization. Let's start somewhere. Probably, that's why this day was created.
