CryptoNut and his friends

As you probably remember, the first squirrel in our small shelter was CryptoNut. He came last spring.
This tiny baby squirrel became a victim of the crow. The bird was already carrying him to eat, when a passing girl saw it and took the squirrel away from the crow. The frustrated crow pursued them for quite some time, hoping that she would manage to get her lunch back. It should be noted that in nature squirrels and crows get along badly. Crows often steal squirrel puppies. I cannot say anything about the aggressive attitude of squirrels to crows, because I did not have to observe it.

Later together with our Steemit friends we've found a name for him - CryptoNut Zappl.

There is also another point that requires clarification. You may ask why we do not release our squirrels into nature. The fact is that all our squirrels were fed in captivity. Such animals are not capable of independent existence in the wild. They do not have the skills that the squirrel mother should have taught them. They do not know how to look for food on their own and how to hide from predators and even ordinary cats. We try to create conditions for them that most resemble life in nature.

Every year hundreds of squirrels and baby-squirrels get into trouble. Therefore, having a positive experience in the nursing and maintenance of squirrels, we thought about friends for CryptoNut.

And here we were waiting for new surprises and new knowledge. Firstly, we learned that squirrels lead an isolated lifestyle and do not really need a company. Secondly, biologists have told us interesting information about the family life of squirrels.

t turned out that squirrels have a very hard matriarchy relashionships. In principle, the male is only needed for the breeding season and then he needs to be careful, because the female can beat him. That's all the squirrels' love :( The only option is to take a very young female so that she gets used to him from the very childhood ...

Soon came a tiny male squirrel. And then the fun began! The kid immediately occupied the house of CryptoNut. As if he understood that he was dealing with a baby, CryptoNut did not begin to argue and simply moved to another house. But it did not help. Little squirrel baby most likely needed warmth. In the end, CryptoNut took care of the baby and warmed him.

Some time passed and two more squirrels arrived. The first was an adult squirrel, which, probably, people raised at home, and then released into the park. Unhappy and shocked, he sat in one place without moving, not knowing what he should do. Fortunately, people picked him up and sent him to us.

The last this season was a tiny little girl squirrel. She quickly became friends with everyone and we hope that in the future there will be no conflicts.
