How Does Lizard Shed Its Skin

This gecko is shedding its skin in one large piece.

Like us, lizards need to shed their skin but while we lose our skin all the time in minute flakes. Lizard shed theirs from time to time in large pieces. Sometimes a lizard will pull a piece of skin offnwith its teeth, and eat it. Underneath is a bright new skin.
