A camel is a ship of the desert

in #animals6 years ago

A camel is difficult to call a graceful handsome man, but he played an important role in the lives of many people for thousands of years. And let it lacks grace, but it has qualities that are not inherent in other animals. This is primarily an amazing ability to live in places where other large animals can never survive. The body of a camel looks strange, not attractive. A long curved neck, skinny long legs, small ears, a snout with a long nose and a humpbacked back.

It seems that the camel is made from spare parts from five or six other animals. Nevertheless, the strange body of a camel is ideal for living in a hot sandy desert. Almost every part of his body helps him to survive in places where few other animals can live. Nature endowed the camel with the ability to survive in the harsh and harsh environment of the desert.

In the desert, the wind often blows. To protect the eyes, camels have long eyelashes that protect from the sand. If the sand gets into the eyes, the camel has a special third eyelid to get rid of it. As a wiper in the car, this extra eyelid moves from side to side and removes the sand. The eyelids are very thin, so the camel can see through them. In a sandstorm, camels often close their extra eyelids and continue to move. You can say that a camel can find its way through a sandstorm with closed eyes.

The huge feet of camels help them to walk on the sand, not plunging into it. Because of the long legs, the camel is difficult to sit down. The camel simply folds the front legs under his body and falls to his knees. Then he folds his hind legs and allows the back of the body to fall to the ground. Camels can sit up and stand up with heavy loads on their backs.

The camel's head has built-in sun visors that help protect eyes from bright sunlight. Over each eye there are broad crests of bones. They stick out far enough to protect their eyes when the sun is overhead. Long legs and long necks are great advantages for camels in the desert. This makes it easier for them to search for food and water.

To prevent sand from blowing in your nose, camels can close their nostrils. If there is no sandstorm, the camel opens its nose and breathes through the nose. This is an awkward animal at first glance, but unlike other large animals it is adapted to live in the harsh conditions of a hot desert.
