When you stop hoarding the GOD DAMNED DOLLAR, and start accumulating STEEM for SP, you WILL see prices go up!

@adenijiadeshina wrote: But what is still confusing me is that why is steem price falling and rising. Most especially falling in the last few months

Well, confused Steemian, let me try to explain:

Because of people like me, who Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump & Pump & Dump on Bittrex & Binance & other places STEEM is traded.

There, mystery solved?

@deathcross wrote: All cryptos were falling but Steem underperformed. I'd like to know.

"All" other cryptocurrencies/tokens are held by people who know how to trade in the cryptocurrency market. Steem on the other hand, underperform and overperform because of a few factors, largest of them are in related to the mega-whales who mined too many coins for themselves in the very beginning of STEEm, and (except for @dan Larimer), has refused to sell off enough tokens which would enable others the possibility of accumulate enough coins for it to be worth the risk of Pumping & Dumping, or HOLDING it in SteemPower.

STEEM is mostly populated by amateurs who do not have any idea about what the hell they are doing. Even when http://SteemSpeak.com and other communities have been teaching Warren Buffet´s Buy Cheap & Hold culture, unfortunately, people, in general, are not here to learn how to be financially sound - people come here thinking it is a place where we give away free money and make people rich. We do not. Only YOU can make yourself rich, and if that is not your goal, well, then I have not much to discuss with you.

STEEM cannot be super valuable unless 1) More New Big Dolphins invest and create a much larger "middle class" and 2) The super-whales sell down to the middle class, balancing the rich-list.

A Boat loaded with cargo at the top with no ballast in the bottom, will fall over and sink - and the same principle is true for Stocks and Cryptocurrency where there is just a handful of majority stakeholders.

Another thing - As long as people measure everything they earn/spend on STEEM in Fiat Currencies - we will never be able to create a true STEEM-HODLERS Club. Every POST on STEEM with pending payout should have that displayed in STEEM and not USD because psychologically people will be trying to collect as much dollars as possible, cashing out (like I have witnessed for the past 3 years) - A Steem-Post of any kind should display pending payout and past payout in STEEM/SBD/SP accurately. That would create the environment we find in the Coin Collectors Club (CCC).

The day STEEMIANS stop hoarding the GOD DAMNED DOLLAR and start collecting STEEM for SteemPower, then we will truly see a cultural change around here, and prices will go up.

Do you understand?

We certainly need more middle class with the Steem community who is hodling to maximize STEEM and not fiat.

I'm not sure about the statistics, but I think there are many Steemians who are unable to hodl because they really have a need to convert STEEM to fiat for their daily life

Hey there @fyrstikken, so glad to see you still taking the time and energy to share your knowldege and simple truths on this market set in crypto ! I too as a person that has invested into this platform disappointed still to see these people who have invested nothing but just keep on selling their rewards in steem back into this FIAT shit coin called USD ! I just bought a big chunk of Golos and powered it up, i wish i could own as much Steem as i have Golos, but i missed that boat seemingly !

Its easy to become negative but bare in mind that Steem dollar Buy Price is at $0.6044.
Agree it's not like it used to be a year ago but for us who are new at Steemit I say that now is the right time to invest a little into the crypto currency.

What? SBD is near its peg. Coinmarketcap has it as 0.99

I prefer to use coinspot in Australia instead of Coinmarketcap.
Thank you for your comment.

You're listing the price of steem, not steem dollars, in that screenshot. Steem dollars are near their $1 peg.

@improv
Coinspot maintained that the graph that I pointed out to you are Steem Dollars. Get your facts straight

I can see in the screenshot that you're looking at Steem. Do you know that there are two currencies on this platform? One is called Steem, the other is called Steem Based Dollars?

@improv

Thank you for your comment, I very much appreciate your help in setting me straight.

You're welcome. Have you been guided through steem best practices by anyone yet?

I am aware of spam, phishing design to steal my account and money.
I like your views on this. As for steemit best practise I like to hear all about it. Please do carry on.

Steem blogging best practices:

Post original content (plagiarism is actively discouraged)
Use your voting power to reward posts you like (upvoting your own content is controversial)
Join a community or several! I recommend @freewritehouse!
Once you've figured out what you're planning to do on Steemit regularly, make an introduceyourself post to tell everyone!

There are others, but that seems like a good starting point!

Woooooooooooooow man this is great! I was in a shock for a little

What else in the end can be the goal of cryptos
but being able to buy real things with them.
Trading for trade is like l´art pour art, isnt it ?
A bubble.

Steem power has a few other uses. Resource credits mean sp is necessary for posting on the chain. It's also useful like art for Art's sake is, as a status symbol. But yes, buying real things is a prominent use case

I agree I see way too many peeps using steem as a way to get small amounts of free money as if it’s their only income! I don’t know how they lived before but you know to each their own!

I even though that there should be some sort of lock on SP earned Vs sp purchased just to encourage HODL’ing and trickle down because at the moment all we do is hold to a price and then these noobs dump their bags and we have to wait to absorb that liquid steem by users who want influence on chain!

Wow. Thank you for explaining and clearing my confusion on this. Because I always see that since we started this year and some months back. Steem price is still yet to gain a steady momentum to rise up. Because as soon as rising up, it will become to fall again.

Once again, than you for clearing my confusion
