... tons of them planted in Minnesota. They only bloom for a short time but when they do you know warm weather is here to stay.

That's a lovely sight indeed and I can just imagine the smell must be too gorgeous! It's funny but we don't have many Lilacs around here, I must ask at the nursery as I love fragrant plants! Sooo glad that winter's finally behind you...for now that is so make the most of the outdoors Eric!

Wonderful photo of lilacs. Looks like you caught this photo while taking a walk around the neighborhood. It is nice to capture nature's beauty. Great shot.

Hello Eric, how are u doing? It's fun to touch flowers that don't bloom every time and smell nice. It seems that you are also very lucky to be able to take a beautiful picture. Did the flowers only grow in spring, Eric? frankly in my area there are no flowers like it, but we can find it in other parts of Indonesia. Enjoy your week end, my freind. Regards.

You're so lucky... I wanted to take a picture of lillacs in bloom only there's few of them around here, which is such a pity as I love the smell... Enjoy you're spring, you've suffered enough :))

When we owned our house we had a huge lilac bush in our backyard that was probably planted in the 1920's. Half was white and the other half was purple. There are so many around here that when they bloom you can smell them everywhere. Thank you @ladyrebecca! Spring has officially sprung. : )

My Grandma used to have one in her garden... and lots of lilly-of-the-valley.
Back then you could buy all sorts of garden flowers at the market, but these days most florists sell imported flowers, like roses which don't smell of roses anymore...

It's sad that people don't plant as much as they used to. The house we last lived in was almost 100 years old and had raspberries, lilacs, grapes, and a lot of other perennials. The grapes were a smaller variety (like muscadine) that I've never tasted anywhere else, they were delicious. Where are the imported flowers from in your region?

Awww, the smells of spring fresh air. Fun post!

Oh yes, when lilac blooms, this is a sea of pleasant aroma, I think there is no person who does not like this fragrance

The flowers look very beautiful, sir.
