... air warms. We Minnesotans rush outdoors, plant stuff, breathe the fresh air, ride bikes, walk around lakes, and forget about winter for a while. My cat Angel is the same way. Nelieve it or not, we subscribe to the notio that cats are domesticated and belong indoors. They are safer and healthier and tend to live longer. and they don’t kill birds. Well there was no keeping this one indoors! She prowls the house like a caged tiger all winter and when spring finally comes, she is outside about 3/4 of the time until the season shifts again, and summer turns to fall, then to winter and the snow flies once again.
Yes. cats are really safer indoors but, perhaps she/he got bored? I myself do not really like to go out that much these days because its cold outside but, at the end of the day, you started getting bored so yeah, perhaps its boredom that makes him want to go outside.
Cats are safer indoors, and so are the birds, but... but... we have one too that will NOT BE DENIED his right to patrol his territory. Bobi the Bad is only 11 pounds and 8 years old and utterly incompetent compared to Merlin the Maine Coon (who could open doors and leap onto rooftops), yet Bobi has staredowns with stray cats and scares them from our door. How is it possible they retreat from that little pipsqueak? We've caught it in photos. Why do we let Bobi out? Because he will NOT SHUT UP. Sorry. Your cat looks so much nicer than ours. :) But I have been deceived before by cats who look irresistibly handsome and cute.
Spring has been slower in settling in coastal California than usual, and the wildlife are showing it ... but the insects and cats and all the rest are finally warming up here just like they are there. June! Thank God! Great post and thank you for sharing!

Ha... sounds like what happens here... the air gets a little warmer...and people go crazy and merge en masse to the beach!
Yes, so you know what it's like! We know the days will start getting cooler again toward the end of August, so we want every single minute of outdoor enjoyment between now and then, whether it's in the garden, on the beach, on a boat, in a campground, on a bike, on a cafe patio... anywhere but indoors!
