In the meeting they threatened the Rohingya drivers to accept the illegal NVC and said if they denied all their driving will be ceased with in this month (July).

Following that, Rohingya drivers are extremely worried of their upcoming days, as most of them are the only breadwinners in their families.
"For us (Rohingy drivers) choice is really hard, one side is our identity and dignity, which is snatched and on the hand is our daily meal of our families. We don't know what we will do in this oppressed situation of Burmese government", explains a driver in the area.

Ceasing livelihood activities and forced starvation are other rooted common genocidal tools of Burmese government, that have been going on from decades to decades in Arakan (Rakhine) state.

Burmese forces inhumane massacre, forced more than 800, 000 Rohingya out of their homes to makeshift camps in Bangladesh and now remaining Rohingya are also triggered to leave their homes by forced starvation.

[Note: National Verification Card (NVC) is issued to a foreigner for verification while he/she is applying for citizenship in Burma (Myanmar).]
