Architectural Photography: St. Adalbert Church, Baroque jewel of my Czech hometown of Opava

Through my entry for today´s #architecturalphotography contest hosted by @juliank, I would like to show you one of the most beautiful churches in my Czech hometown of Opava, the famous Church of St. Adalbert.

Located in the eastern part of the Lower Square (one of the two main squares in the historic center of the city), the St. Adalbert Church is a majestic Baroque church built between 1675 and 1681. Adalbert is the English version of the Czech name "Vojtech" so the Czech name of the church is "Kostel Sv. Vojtecha" (= St. Vojtech Church).

Listed as one of the Czech Cultural Monuments, the church is adjacent to the Opava State Archiv (the building on the right), the third oldest and third largest archive in the Czech Republic.
