📷 Architectural photography: models of ancient and active churches

Hello, Steemians! Hi friends! Today I will show you photos of models of churches and cathedrals of our city and other places of Russia. I am very interested to always consider such architectural products. Some are made of paper, some of wood, and some even matches or clay. But they are all very original and miniature.

On holidays in the streets and squares of many cities are all kinds of exhibitions, and one of these I managed to get acquainted with the works of young artists who took up the models of ancient and operating cathedrals and churches.

Below in the photo you can see the model of St. Catherine's Cathedral. So, this building looked in 1914, but unfortunately, the war, and then the revolution prevented to preserve the architectural monument in its original form. Today, work has already begun on its reconstruction, but for now we can only examine the models.

In 1934, the Cathedral was closed and the bells melted. This former Shrine began to be used as a warehouse, but times change and today the Cathedral is already in service, and among the Krasnodar it is considered one of the most visited.

It was possible to meet the models of those temples, which no longer exist, they were completely destroyed.

The temple of Christ the Savior you must have learned. I think that the guys did their best and did not miss important architectural details.

Here you can see a colorful model of an old chapel made of ordinary clay.

The model of St. Basil's Cathedral is also easy to learn from the colorful domes and original architecture.

Kids were fascinated not only by models, something glued, painted, collected, did not even react to curious passers-by.

There were also such buildings as this Church, which is still in Taman, and the layout is made by students of the school of icon painting at St. Catherine's Cathedral in Krasnodar.
