Late yesterday (Friday 11/5) afternoon, the official rate pf the peso touched 24.30, and I heard from some people that the cuevas in Cordoba were asking as high as 25 from those seeking to buy dollars. Panic is in the air, and I doubt it will be getting better any time soon.
In the 1970's early 1980's Argentina's currency also suffered a crazy devaluation, they had a 1 million peso bank note. This happened in a lot of South American countries during these years I remember seeing a picture of a Bolivian who is shopping and she has a helper who is carrying a sack full of banknotes for her purchases.
