Sketchfest 2018 in Moscow. Quest

I like to guess riddles and draw, so when the team Meet & Sketch announced a new idea for a sketch quest, I could not pass by and immediately signed up for it. It was in early May, and last weekend on June 3 this quest was held.

A bit about the quest: a team of five people gathers, the organizers give out 5 puzzles and it is necessary to guess the riddles in a few hours, come to this place and draw some specific object (which is required in the puzzle). You must perform at least 4 sketches each! Our team made all five sketches and survived))) But about everything in order.

Task 0. Assemble the team
It so happened that in the team should be 5 people, and my friend and I were a duo in 2 people, so we had to find another 3. The organizers of the quest offered to help us and introduced three girls. These girls never painted or held markers or notebooks at all. We were in a stupor, the girls, too, because they did not expect that the sketch quests should be drawn))) In the end, they refused to participate, and we were offered three more people. And we started late for an hour))) We, like all the participants in the quest, were given a bag with small gifts: sunglasses, a raincoat, a bottle of water and a chocolate bar.


Task 1. Brick building in the church courtyard
I will not give the riddles myself, I will only say that the answer was the point on the map. And when we got there, we saw that it was a patriarchal farmstead. These are old brick houses and galleries, and we had to paint a stone gate. Everyone designed his sketch the way he wanted. My looks like this:

Task 2. Yellow two-story building
To get the place of the second point it was necessary to go to the store (whose address was the answer to the riddle) and ask the sellers where to go))) And they gave the address of this two-story yellow building in which the poet Mayakovsky and the Brik family once lived. The threesome. Lilia Brik and Mayakovsky had an affair. If you are interested - you can always look for additional information on the Internet))

Task 3. Brick building in the courtyard of the factory Stanislavsky
In the riddle there was talk about Stanislavsky and the theater, so we had no problems with this point at all. We should come and draw!



Task 4. The Cathedral
On the assignment, it was necessary to draw a building where the results of the work of the icon painter Rublev were preserved. It was suggested that we also look at them, but we were short of time, and we did not have time. Therefore, immediately sat down to draw.

Task 5. Dam
Even when we left the last point, it started to rain. So we drew the dam in the rain and for 5 minutes (usually the sketch took half an hour). We were running out of time (and it was necessary to have time to pass the work for verification) and it's very hard to draw in the rain. Markers badly write on wet paper, and I did not have watercolors with me. This is really a sketch that I did in 5 minutes and then in one minute pasted a piece of paper with the assignment and signed the work.

Winners
We managed to get back on time and hand over our work for inspection. We guessed all the places correctly, met all the conditions. And the most amazing thing is that our sketches liked the jury and we won !!! It was necessary to choose one work from each participant for the nomination - and that's how our team was represented:



And we got a lot of things: there are pens, markers, sketchbooks, separate sheets of paper, pencils and liners. For a long time already I have not received such pleasure not only from victory, but from participation itself!
