Creating memories with Art (Wall Mural)

in #art6 years ago

Hey fellow Steemians..

Today I'm here to share an experience with you all. This summer I had an opportunity to do a creative project for my DAD. Absolute pleasure <3

When I was back home for my breaks, my father shared a creative project for me to undertake with pure joy and excitement. The project - wall painting at my father's and uncle's (bade papa) office place. They had recently decided to use the corner space of the compound outside the office and convert it into a better looking green place. The idea was to clear up the junk, have the walls painted and grow a grass bed in the corner space. The last part is in process.

So, my father presented the largest yet, canvas for me to paint. Two walls of an approximate dimension of - 15' x 10' and 20' x 10'. As you can tell, it was a gigantic opportunity for me.

The new experience that I had was coming to office with my father and painting there, while he kept on checking on me if I had any troubles that he could make disappear for me. He literally would just come ten times a day, hang around and keep my spirits up. He is an enormous supporter of my art. I'm blessed with an unconditionally supportive and loving family. I'm extremely grateful to have them :)

I think I can say they help me to fly like a bird :P

So, I started out with some vague ideas in my head. Keeping nature in mind, I looked for murals with flowers and all things green. Then I bought some colors that would go with my color theme: subtle pastel shades. I bought ten water-based "Asian Paint" one liter box. They were recommend for exterior wall paints. And I loved using them. They were easy to mix (200 ml of water for 1 liter paint) and apply.

That's the final look of the first wall. Then on to the next one. Started out with sketching.

The project took around ten days (couple of rest days in between) to complete and whole lot of people helping me out. From my family members to the staff who are employed at my father's office. My mum helped me, sadly I don't have a picture with her here.

Here's my dad art-ing up the wall :)

Here's the staff members who helped me out in finishing the project on time as well as in other little things. Couldn't have done without them.

This project has been special for me and will always be close to my heart.
