From Inspiration Comes Art ..

So the idea is Reward Quality Content .. Reinvest in steemit! First let me give you some background .. The inspiration of the piece...

So I was listening to one of my favorite band of all time, Midnight Oil, and feeling a bit of inspiration. Probably not the same inspiration Edward Hicks was feeling while painting 'Peaceable Kingdom', but non the less inspiration. So I was sitting there listening and doodling and somehow the lyrics were driving the brush pinched between my fingers. my creation was 'Winter's Hard Line' ..

Sometimes I get in that mood (sigh) where I am thinking deeply..maybe too deeply..about what these lyrics are trying to tell me. What am I supposed to know. What the heck are you trying to say or are you just messing with me. Not so much the case with Midnight Oil. I feel Peter Garrett is a pretty strait forward shooter. Easy to understand where they are coming from and what points they are trying to get across to the world.

River Runs Red is the most played track on my Midnight Oil playlist. A song, in my opinion, stating the obvious. Point blank, stop taking without giving back. Stop taking more than you need. Stop taking to the point where the next generation will suffer from your greed. I am trying my best to help renew what I take, take only what i need, and to try ain some way to lesten my impact on the next cast and crew of life. So in some round about way I see this being the idea behind Steemit as well.. Reward Quality Content .. Reinvest in steemit! Make your statement and make a change in the world. Lift others with quality content up. There's no place in my life right now for negative one sided content. I want to seek out the good and give back. (eventually one day with more than .01 upvote worth)lol. In time my friends..for now My upvote as it is will have to do.

This being said, I want to change my way of blogging as well and try to apply a new concept to my posts. Not to just post my art and expect everyone will appreciate the time and thought I put into it, but to tie it to the inspiration from which it was derived. Lets face it, art is born from INSPIRATION and I want to recognize that. It may even come from someone else's steemit posts. Here's a shout out to @gooddream for giving me some needed inspiration for change. Thank you!
