BEASTLY TALES

THE PHILATELIST

Morgan Bean was a stamp collector,
He’d invested much time and money in the trifecta,
of RARE, MINT CONDITION and VALUABLE.
Always ensuring that such was resalable.
He purchased, one day, an 1880 ten penny black,
It was so rare he put it straight in his pack.
The Dealer said, “In the world there are only two.”
Now what did Morgan Bean do?
After he had handed over a huge wad of cash,
He set it alight and burned it to ash!
The Dealer said, “Whilst that stamp wasn’t unique,”
“There is only one other in the world to seek.”
“What you just did to that stamp, shows you’re a freak.”
To the Dealer, “You are wrong, Sir, mine is unique.”
“For ‘twas mine, the second stamp you did seek.”
“By reducing the inventory from two down to one,”
“I just made a pile of money, yes, a ton.”

Sort:

think dear Richard that I made the stamp collection until the age of 25 and the black penny I painted it with watercolor in some paintings of 30 years ago ...

Maybe you can paint some more and we can sell them :)

That is very clever and very funny.

Brilliantly done
