Art - A new 'Shield' for Rise of Champions
Hey everyone!
Almost 5 years ago a game came online called 'Rise of Champions'.
It was built by just 3 peeps.. 1 American living in China, 1 Canadian living in Florida and 1 artist living in The Netherlands! :) <- ME!
I was lucky enough to somehow get enrolled in this project, working for 'free' for almost a year, developing the game.
Then it came online, got accepted on Kongregate, Armor Games, Miniplay etc etc.. we won awards as best MMORPG of the year, 2015 and 2016 on Kongregate & Armor Games. Beating some big companies with sometimes budgets of millions behind them.. we were just 3 dudes! :)
Anyway.. now the game is running for almost 5 years, it was built on Flash and we are now looking for someone to help convert it to Unity so we can hopefully keep the game running for a while longer.

My role, as the artist, is to keep the game looking pretty and up to date, so it was time to replace the game's "Shield" and bring it up to par with todays standards! :)

I actually like the explosive nature of the original one, think it's pretty cool that all the characters seem to have gotten upgrades in the new design, kind of like the team and the game in general? :D

The new one is so much more interesting because of the dynamic Perspektive. ..this is something i strugle doing it myself 😬

Absolute true xD ...have you a trick for that? Maybe u want du a tutorial video, I’m sure this could help many artists who struggle themselves handling that bitch! ;)

I like both, Rogier :) The colours scheme and character poses translate well into the updated art :D The fonts could be bigger, though....
