Sometimes, as I already mentioned before in some other posts, I like to pick a random shot and try to give it a completely different look, using mainly photoshop brushes, textures and layers.
The next two images are a couple of examples of those manipulations.

On this first one I used tree leafs.
Originally they were yellow and a lot less grungy... and as always, I finished this one in lightroom, tweaking the exposure, shadows and clarity. Just to enhance the details a little bit more.

Here I "tortured" a bunch of Lavender flowers in the same way.
Started with a normal shot ad ended up with this image.
The process was slightly different though. I decided not to change the original colors, but to remove some instead. Highlighting the main subject a bit more that way and eliminating unnecessary distractions.
