There’s a line in my favourite “Yes” song that goes “if your summer changes to winter, yours is no disgrace”.

Sometimes it’s our turn to be sad, may it be for a day or a whole season. That is not a bad thing, it’s a necessary part of our life and evolution. As great as it would be to be happy all the time, that is not natural and even healthy. The aspects of our darkness and pain seem to need to be acknowledged and understood by us, so we can deal with it and become the higher version of what we can be.

We have to surrender to these hard moments, as to purge from our system what no longer serves us. Beneath those emotions we can have peace and optimism, that this too will pass and the sun will come up again. As the Rolling Stones song goes “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need”. So honour this dance with your shadow, make the most out of it, and remember that as long as we can access the Love for ourselves, everything is ok and will be better. Wishing you the best today and always.
