Is graffiti illegal in Toronto, Canada? Yes, it is, however you would not know it walking around the Downtown core
Fact is that Graffiti is indeed illegal in Toronto UNLESS it is classified to be a Mural by the city.
However, you would not know it from looking around town..
Here we started from Portland street (south of Queen Street) and made our way through the fashion district heading east towards Spadina Ave.
Toronto's world famous graff alley, where you might just catch a glimpse of local artists bombing and tagging the scene.
The alley has also been in many TV shows, movies and has become the "go to" set for Canada's own Rick Mercer and his lane-way rants.
!
if you enjoy urban arts then Toronto's Graffiti alley is a "must see" when you're in town, but don't take it from me.....!
The walk through is best done during working business hours when its quietest and preferably NOT in the winter unless you`re dressed for the frigid, bone chilling cold.
Rumors have it that there may also be a hidden Bansy
mural in the alley, however our team was not able to spot it.
(and we are not talking about the exhibit he had)
Come and take the tour BUT dont forget your selfy stick!!!

Cheers Ah!

I spend a year and a half in Toronto and didn't see any of them :(
Where normally they did the graffiti ?
I would start at an easy to find spot... The 7/11 across from Trinity bellwoods park. You go behind the 7/11 and you will be amazed.. The art starts there and goes for a good two blocks... You might also like the graff that is between old mill and keele stations when your riding the subway...
Nice! Next time that I go to Toronto I will try to see this amazing art. Thanks for sharing.
