Nude by the snowy mountain flank

Having missed 2 of my fitness classes because of the weather yesterday, I am glad that Capilano University is open this morning. I am on my way to the north shore by bus to perfect my ability to stand still, modeling nude for an art class. Google maps just suggested me the wrong bus and when I saw another bus with my destination written on it, I had the sense to ask the driver and run to the other vehicle. That was a close one! This one is much more full of course.

It is a long commute but the last time I modeled for this animation program, the teacher loved me and wanted me to come back in all his other groups. This morning is actually for the same class of determined artists. There was no shortage of talent in the room as is obvious from the pictures, as they only had one minute to produce each gesture. And to think these are first year students, it will be interesting to see them down the road.

Animation is a competitive industry and anatomical drawing is compulsory. I did a year in animation myself and remember the importance of drawing figures whith a sense of their weight, meaning that you can feel the effect of gravity on the pose.

Whew! They are a hard working bunch for sure!
