Hello Dear Steemit Friends ! My choice for today in the series '' To Honor Old Masters '' is Martin Drolling ( 1752 – 1817 ), self-taught artist who came early to Paris where his small genre paintings found a ready market though little official recognition. His peaceful middle-class interiors are based on the Dutch and Flemish example, though the glossy, satin-smooth finish is his own.
