I have a little neglected the art subjects related to photography so today I will dedicate a publication to talk about one of the most outstanding photographers of the last century. Dedicated to the photography of the Second World War is an excellent document of how the macabre years of one of the most shocking times of all time passed. I'm talking about Robert Capa. Accompany me to know everything about the life and work of this magnificent graphic artist.
His real name is Endre Friedman who changed his name under the pseudonym of Robert Capa, the name with which he became known in the world of photography. His work is focused on various war conflicts of the twentieth century, especially the Second World War and before the Spanish Civil War.
Life and Work
Born on October 22, 1913 is of Hungarian origin, the city of Budapest saw him born under the dominion of the Austro-Hungarian empire, middle-class Jewish family, few parents dedicated to art. His father was addicted to gambling and his mother was in charge of the family. The Jewish origin of the photographer did not mean an approach to the Hebrew religion, on the contrary it was more detached and little to the traditions of the great religion.
Although his father was not dedicated to art, he frequented social circles where his friends were linked to art and through these circles Little Robert felt an affinity for art and especially for photography. When he was a teenager he already rubbed shoulders with adult intellectuals with whom he shared critical visions of photography and art in general. One of his best friends gave him his first camera, which he never detached from during his adolescence, thus beginning his exploratory stage in graphic art.

After graduating from high school he had a serious problem to enter university because it had an anti-Semitic law that prohibited the study of Jews. This resulted in the young Robert enrolled the Communist Party to fight against the anti-Semitic law that restricted Jewish higher studies.

His activism led him to demonstrate on several occasions against the government of Budapest and this resulted in him being arrested several times until he had limited leave his home but his intellectual contacts transcended the borders of the regulations and soon achieved full freedom.
By the year 1933 manages to move to Germany and enrolls in the journalism faculty of the German school of politics. while studying managed to get a job as a photojournalist at the same time managed to be commented for the mission to photograph Trotsky lion as a refugee in Denmark for Soviet colony problems. but that same year his career had another turn due to the military occupation of Hitler on Germany. So they decide to move to Paris because of a problem with his stay in Austria where he stayed while they resolved their stay.

His stay in France did him good. He got to know who would become his wife, Gerda Pohorylle, who was nicknamed Gerda Taro with emphasis on the Japanese painter Taro Okamoto, Gerda was a photographer as well as Endre who was nicknamed Robert Capa due to political persecution and during their stay in the United States both passed themselves off as wealthy businessmen of a supposed photography company and in turn paid them very well due to the image they projected.
For the beginning of the Spanish civil war layer and gerda decide to go to Spain and become a war reporter, at first his job was to show the weapons that were being used but then became flexible and began to take advantage of the faces of soldiers and people who were being whipped by the civil war, thus managed to sensitize his work with direct contact in the lines of fire and after the bombardments where he could interpenetrate with the soldiers and with those most affected by the civilian population.
