Dare to be different

I have come to realize that if you let people decide who you should be or what path you follow, you tend to end up unhappy. Most of us have put ourselves into a box, because we are scared to do something different from the norm.
In my country Nigeria, many people don't patronize artist. Only a few folks appreciate art and its beauty. This can sometimes discourage most aspiring artists, from pursing art as a career.
As an IT graduate, my folks expect me to focus 100% on getting a job in that field, because they feel its a sure way for me to be successful.
Art has always been my thing, from when i was just a shy teenager, drawing Disney cartoon characters. I wanna create masterpieces, and learn from my mistakes.
I strive daily to keep myself focused on my goals, and try not to go with everyone's idea of an ideal life.
