The Artworks
Kublai 2018
this is abstract art made by kublai, a famous and very successful artist in mindanao.
Enter!
I went to the exhibit late, to start, there was a ribbon cutting and speakers who talked about the significance of culture.
Me and my dad @gems.and.cookies!
These are all the artworks displayed.
I will put first, those artworks who were made by artists that I know, they're my friends.
This was created by Mi Yen, a Tausug woman with flowers and nail accessories essential for the Tausug Tribe's finger dance. She owns an art shop in the city which is the most complete and offers a lot of brands malls don't. The shops name is morning light at Quirino, Davao City.
Pop Art by Joseph Aquino. My classmate before, he has always been a fan of cartoons and he always expresses it this way.
Art by Venerando "Rey" Bollozos. He is my art teacher when I was taking fine arts. He does a lot of oil paintings with representations like these, symbols and emotions.
A stunning wood carving art by Kathleen Abejo, She used power tools and paint to add colors to the wood. The word "Agasan" means where water flows.
Art by Jashiel Ramos, very symbolic art portraying growth, culture and education.
Artist: Elenita Dumlao, she created this colorful and bright piece. She is also the head of the exhibit Bai Hinang which will be set up next month!.
Art by sirViktor. This is a colorful and detailed art of a banana. It represents the rich agricultural aspect of Mindanao.
This is Jessel Namalata and that is her artwork behind her. A woman with ethnic attire and a dove, symbol of peace and hope. There is hope and a future in our culture.

Here's the other artworks by other artists:
This is a Tausug woman by Mark Tolentino. I loved how the strokes and values look so colorful and real. Amazing!

Yes the abstract ones are awesome!!!!
Hehe.
That's cool! So many paintings with meaning gathered in one place!)
Well said!!! Thanks so much 🐳
Wow have been interested in art since the start of the year. Have seen a couple of art galleries the past months and made me try to figure out some of the artworks. But someone told me that sometimes meanings of art are different for each person in how you see them. I hope I could see it in Manila if it pushes thru.
I hope we make it too! Thank you! 🐳
Many people can derive a meaning to an art based on their personal experience and perspective yes true!
Although there is one expression by the artist that conveys his intended meaning to it which is his inspiration for making the art.
