In Solitude

Hi Steemians,

My entry to We Draw The Letter Contest. This is the letter I. I drew a straight forward shape which is no doubt the letter I. Since this lack additional details I thought I would make that up with colors and texture.

Steps

Line Drawing

The angle of the shot made the letter appear with a broader base.

Permanent Ink

The shape I made with a pencil looks fine so time to ink it with a black permanent marker.

Colors

I used washable pens to add color. Their tips are thinner similar to that of a ballpoint pent. So, achieving that flat wide color is not that easy.

Shadow

Last touch is a little shadow at the base. I didn't go full on shadow because I want the focus on the letter I alone. The colors are streaky and pointy so I used a brown color pencil to put shades and mellow down the colors on certain areas. Hope you like it.
