LIMITS - Japan's First Digital Art Battle Event
What is LIMITS?
LIMITS is Japan's first digital art battle event, and by extension the biggest digital art battle event in the world. It's a live art showcase that puts two digital artists together in a 20 minute competition of artistic ability, speed and spontaneity.

It's a tournament style battle, in which two themes are chosen at random and on the spot. The two digital artists facing off will then have to create a painting or an art based on the theme selected and will try to complete it as fast as they can as not to exceed the 20-minute time limit, with the help of computers and graphic tablets.
An Example of how Themes are chosen
The winner will then be decided by the total combined scores of judges and the audience’s vote. The Judges are to score each artist a maximum of 5points for Idea, Technique, Speed and Visual Story Telling for a maximum total of 20pts per judge.
While the audience will just choose which art they like more. And from that a calculation of points can be made based on the total number of audiences and how many voted for who. The artists with the most combined scores from the Judges and Audience wins that round!
Personal Thoughts
I just stumbled upon this battle event when I was browsing my Facebook news feed hours ago. And the first thing I thought of was @dlive. I think battle events similar to this would be perfect for their platform.
There are a lot of artists here on the Steem platform, many of whom are soooo good and talented that most people think their arts are not theirs and are just stolen. They are therefore deprive the love they deserved. With a competition like a live digital art battle contest, we can all assure that the artists participating are really the one's doing all the thinking and hard work. Plus, it's also fun to watch a talented artist being pressured to draw on a limited time. XD If you are looking for a dlive contest @wa7. try maybe something similar to this.
