Children of Ethereum
I drew this comic as a crypto-art pun. Using an ink brush pen on paper, it was drawn live at the Ethereal Summit in New York City this summer. My style is a bit on the risky side, especially when I draw on paper. That is because I often do not use pencil first to sketch out the rough structure of the comics I am drawing. Rather, when using physical media to create, I usually draw the art as a first and final draft directly in paper and ink without the benefit of being able to erase. Yes, that does put more pressure on me in the moment to not make mistakes... or to turn any of my ink mistakes into a now-natural part of the drawing.
Now I do not recommend such a drawing style for those just beginning in the arts. Frankly it will be frustrating because a lot of mistakes and wasted paper will be generated. However, for those mid-career creators looking to stretch their abilities, drawing directly in ink on paper is a very fluid way to quickly make new art.
