Hi friends, let me share with you my new painting I finished today. I am not as active this summer as I wanted to when it comes to art, so I am even happier when I paint something.

This time I just wanted to forget about everything and just paint something simple. I started with the small colorful fields without knowing what is going to happen next. Then I cut out colored textures from magazines and sticked them on a surface. It seemed to me too simple, so I added also dots and some other patterns.

After finishing the background I started to think about the whole picture. I had an idea to paint a tree or flowers, but then it all disappeared and the only thing was a bird - ibis. I added also three other birds which have a personal meaning for me.

The painting is on a canvas in a size 70x50 and I used acrylic paint.
