Here's a painting I began earlier this year, like months ago, and finally put the finishing touches on today. Remember I told you I have quite a few unfinished canvases languishing around my flat and before starting new ones, I'm doing my best to finish up half done paintings.
I've discovered...well in my experience...if you can't decide if a painting is finished, just leave it for a while and come back to it later. That's what I did today and decided it was done.

When I began this painting it began as an abstract and for no apparent reason, in the next sittings, I decided to add facial features.

Hey @mongoosely, i like your work a lot. I know the feeling of having a lot of unfinished work around... It can feel good to finish it up, letting go if it's perfect or not, and moving on.
Just some food for thought, I find on steem a lot of the curation groups require artists to share more of their process. Thinking about ways you can document and share your process, or creative ways to take your work beyond itself will get you more attention (and $upvotes). In my opinion it's most important however that you are having fun! Keep them coming, I'll see you around.
