It's the Z-end: Welcome to the Zombie Apocalypse CHAPTER 2

February 16, 2012 02:33 am Chapter 2

There is a lot of news about Turkey, 10 minutes ago the news channel CNN broadcast some images of what is happening in Turkey. The government is closing the country, but not only the borders, they closed the country informally. There is no Internet in the whole country, the news correspondents in Turkey have been moved to Greece because their safety on Turkish territory is no longer guaranteed.

Today on Twitter, a GoPro video was filmed showing special units of the Turkish army advancing along the main street of a town near the facilities raided by terrorists. The video begins with the discourse of what could be the man in charge, they are inside an armored car, but the rest of the soldiers are very young boys, I dare say that they were terrified in the faces. At the end of the speech, gas masks were put on and they got out of the armored car, at any moment some soldiers began to shoot like crazy against a silhouette of something or someone and they returned running back to the armored car. That's where the video ends. Everything looks very overacted, as if it were advertising for a predator movie.... I don't know what to think about all this....

My brother-in-law says that the terrorists who raided the facility came from Romania and tried to seize chemicals or nuclear products stored in the facility. This world went to hell.

The truth is that Colonia Tovar is a beautiful place, I understand why my father would come to retire here.... The weather is perfect, I think I haven't slept this well for months, but it's time to return to my beloved and chaotic Caracas.

Today in the afternoon I went out to do a series of shopping because there was no food in the house and they are beginning to run out of basic necessities.
After spending everything I had on my credit card I bought plenty of food, batteries for my flashlights, lots of batteries, because thanks to this excellent government the power goes out all the time, not to mention the Internet.

On my way home, I stopped by a blue-ray movie store. I bought a couple of movies, I bought the latest fast and furious one called Fast Five and Battle Los Angeles that Daniel recommended to me, according to him they are great. While I was buying the films I noticed that across the street, a couple of motorists were stealing from a man who was standing at the traffic light and in a matter of seconds the motorists were on the run. It's becoming more and more common to see situations like this and for no one to do anything about it.

When I arrived at the house I put all the food away and started watering the bushes on the terrace. My apartment is a Townhouse, it's not very big, but it's spacious enough for a person who lives alone. The townhouse is made of brick, it is in a 40 townhouse urbanization, all equal, lined up in rows of five, in four parallel streets. Mine is located in the middle of the third street, I have a townhouse on each side and another at the back overlooking the second street. The townhouse at the back is separated by a wall that measures about 3 meters.

I hardly know my neighbors, because I'm never home, I don't really like being home. I know that opposite lives a very kind old couple, the lady who I don't remember her name, brought me many cookies in December last year, one side lives a doctor with his wife and three children and on the other side lives Euro, a very friendly Brazilian who works in a multinational. And well, I, who now live here alone, but I'm sure many people haven't even seen me because I've never been here before and with the money I'll earn less they'll see me.

There is still news on TV about Turkey. The situation seems to be totally out of control. The government has decreed the informational blockade and is sending many troops and medical personnel. I feel very sorry for the people of Turkey.
