Ornamental Boat Competition, Exciting This Year's Aceh Cultural Week.

Ornamental boat competition was held in Krueng (river) Aceh, Banda Aceh as part of the 7th Aceh Cultural Week (PKA) event, Monday, 13/8. In this event there were 22 ornamental boats competing.

In addition to ornamental boats, there are a number of other activities held including tourist attractions, cultural creations stage, cooking competitions, coloring competitions, water attractions, serving 1,000 cups of free coffee and cleaning the river. This event lasts two days from morning to evening.

The Head of the Aceh Disbudpar Amiruddin, said the Krueng Aceh festival was held to promote culture and attract tourists to visit Aceh. "In addition, this activity is also to introduce Krueng Aceh as a potential investment in the latest marine tourism in Banda Aceh." said Amiruddin, Sunday, August 12, 2018.

Decorative boat activities are interesting to watch. You see, visitors can stand on the Pante Pirak Bridge to see the variety of boat decorations. The boat's distance starts from the bridge until the second point is on the Peunayong bridge.

Head of the Marketing Division of the Disbudpar Aceh, Rahmadani invited the Acehnese to enliven the event. Besides seeing the boat, visitors will also be entertained by the appearance of the local Seuramoe Reggae band.

"The Krueng Aceh 2018 Festival will be lively and will be a distinctive impression if people take part in it, while winning other attractive prizes," said Rahmadani. The committee provided a total prize of Rp. 15 million for the winners who managed to come out as champions for the best decoration boat.
